The Ruskin Christian School Elementary Program serves students in K5-6th grades. In the elementary grades, students develop a love for learning and are challenged to work to their learning potential and to discover their individual capabilities. Students gan knowledge and an understanding of how things fit together in God's plan. The academic program centers around language arts with an emphasis on phonics and reading, language, math skills, science, social studies and Bible. Art, music, computer, library, and physical education, enrich the basic curriculum.

  • Phonics and reading - Students learn to read by mastering the sounds that letters symbolize.
  • Students will learn over 400 vocabulary words in their basic phonics reading series and reading groups.
  • Telling time, number counting, addition, and money value.
  • Bible time and chapel (including scripture memorization)
  • Recess

1st-6th Grades

  • Curriculum includes: A BEKA, Bob Jones University Press, Positive Action for Christ and Saxon.
